Say hello to our new family of mascots: Rabbit, Richy, Ruby and Rexy Ruoe!
To create these mascots, Josh states that market research was essential, looking at what type of cartoons are most watched by our target audience. Research was predominantly done with family members of the same age group.
It was important for Josh that the mascots were relatable and easily recognised, which lead to him designing simple shapes for kids to remember, using RUOE's own brand colours and also representing diversity within the mascots.
During the research process, Josh admitted that the picture above was not his first thought, and produced many different sketches (as seen below with our mascots for teenagers).
"What do you take away from this experience?"
Josh replied with,
"RUOE gave me the opportunity to work and develop my skills, I found the whole process challenging and refreshing at the same time as I love a challenge, especially the research part at the begging. I look forward to the things I will be working on in the future with RUOE."
